I just realized last night that this is more important than I initially thought: if he gets a novel published or a screenplay produced before I do, I'm doomed to a life of being credited as "Martin P. Marks" or something. I like my name's meter, dammit. He's got at least a six month headstart, and he's got the writing degrees. But he also has a much sillier middle initial. And dumb glasses. And nobody comments on his pretentious-assed blog. I think I can do this.
